About Us

My name is Anne Carter-Hainlen.

I am the owner of Anne’s Attic. I worked at our local pharmacy for almost 14 years. It had a wonderful card and gift shop that was needed in our small town. When the pharmacy relocated to our grocery store, the wonderful gift and card shop closed. I knew a brand new strip mall was being built at the same time and I decided to open my own gift shop. I wanted to provide our town with a unique place to shop. Anne’s Attic we celebrated 5 years in July. I offer a wonderful selection of cards and gifts for all. Anything from baby gifts, toys, jewelry and collectables. I am also a Boyds Bear Dealer and a Demdaco Willow Tree Angels Dealer.

I was born and raised in Valley Center. I have two beautiful children of my own. Felicia is 18 years old and heading off to Cottey College. Myles is 13 years old and in the 7th grade at the Valley Center Middle School. My wonderful stepson, Darien, is 16 and a sophmore at Valley Center High School. I’m very blessed with great kids. Daryl Hainlen is my wonderful husband and we have been married for 5 years.
I love my job and the people in this town and hope they love me as well.
